Your guitars are so much a part of you. Protecting them in your home means more than simply vaulting them away. Guitars are beautiful works of art, and they should not be relegated to their cases under the bed. Katahdin Guitar Display Cabinets provide the needed safe haven for your collection, but also provide ease of accessibility and the visual presence that they deserve.
Our cabinets are made to order in our shop in Lewiston, Maine USA. We use only fine materials and proven techniques to create the most suitable environments for safe and convenient instrument housing.
It is commonly believed that one can have any cabinetmaker build a viable guitar cabinet. However, many builders see the project as a “fatter” gun cabinet. But in reality, there is much more to the design of a proper instrument cabinet. At Katahdin, we know how to angle a guitar within a cabinet to bring out the best in the art of the guitars. We know how to cradle your guitars within the cabinet’s space to maximize the protection of your prized pieces. All contact points are padded and felted so that there is no “wood to wood” contact between your guitars and the cabinet. The doors are sized properly to frame the features of the guitars to their best advantage. Don’t let the uninitiated experiment with designs that come at the expense of your collection’s wellbeing. Granted, Katahdin cabinets are not cheap, but consider that your investment in one is about the same cost as many quality guitars.
